How To Recover Deleted Files on Android Smartphone?
Step 1: Download Android Data Recovery application in your Laptop/PC (absolutely free application)
Step 2: Install Android Data Recovery. This will take 4-5 minutes.
Step 3: Connect your Android smartphone to PC/Laptop via USB cable.
Step 4: Enable USB debugging in your phone. See the below picture for various versions of Android OS and simply follow those steps in order to enable USB debugging in your phone.
- The below elaboration is only applicable for Android 4.2 – 5.2
- Connect your Android smartphone via USB cable to PC/Laptop, the Android Data Recovery application will ask to enable USB Debugging.
- Go to Settings >> About Phone >> Build Number
- Tap on Build Number constantly for 7 times (or more till you get “You are under Developer mode” message) >> tap on Back button.
- Now you will see a new option called Developer Options visible above About Phone option.
- Click on Developer Options >> enable USB Debugging option (tick mark)
Step 5: Once debugging is enable, you will get to select which type of files you want to recover. You can choose Contacts, Videos, Pictures, WhatsApp Messages & attachments etc. Skip this step if you want to recover all kinds of files.
Step 6: Now, allow access on your phone by tapping on ‘Allow‘ button and start scanning on PC/Laptop by tapping on ‘Start‘ button.
Step 7: Wohoo! You see a preview of all your lost files and important data. Choose whichever files you want to retrieve back and click on ‘Recover’ button to save them to a particular location in your PC/Laptop. Set back, Relax and enjoy!
Simple Tip to keep your Data Safe from getting lost: Keep backing up your smartphones from time to time. Every smartphone will have a default back up option which we normally doesn’t prefer to. How To Recover Deleted Files from iPhone/iPad/iPod?
Step 1: Download iPhone Data Recovery application in your Laptop/PC (again absolutely free)
Step 2: Connect your iDevice to PC/Laptop. Click on ‘Start Scan‘ button
Step 3: The scanning process will take a while. Once the scanning stops and shows you the preview of your lost files, select the files you want to recover.
Step 4: Click on ‘Recover‘ button and save them to local drive on your PC/Laptop.
Note Regarding iOS Data Recovery: This iPhone Data Recovery application will recover lost data from all sorts of iDevices like iPhones, iPads or iPods. But, because of the Apple’s discrete privacy and security policies, the amount and type of data that can be retrieved here is limited. For example, this application can retrieve Camera Photos from only iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 1 and iPod Touch 4. For rest of the models, We Cannot recover Camera Roll or Photo Stream using iPhone Data Recovery. So, in case of iDevices, it is much more advisable to do regular backups in iCloud. Moreover Apple also provides extra 5 GB free space in iCloud to save your data.
